By: Anna Cross | Latest Auckland News | Monday October 1 2012 17:02

The man who phoned emergency services last night to tell them about a body in the Auckland suburb of Mt Wellington has come forward.

Police were alerted after the man identifying himself as 'Hohepa' called 111 from a phone box on Panama Road, telling them that a body was on Hillside Road.

A homicide investigation has since been launched.

Police say they're now interviewing 'Hohepa'.
