Reports of road flooding in Auckland

Police in Auckland say they're getting calls about flooding and waves breaking over parts of Tamaki Drive.

The council is considering road closures but meantime motorists should avoid the road between Mechanics Bay to Ngapipi Road while the situation is assessed.

There are also reports of boats breaking loose from their moorings and being blown onto rocks at Okahu Bay.
