Interest in state houses removed from Glen Innes

| Latest Auckland News | Friday May 25 2012 6:29

There appears to be plenty of interest in the state houses being removed from Glen Innes.

Housing New Zealand is removing the homes as part of the redevelopment plan for the Auckland suburb, and another one was moved last night.

Lobby group spokeswoman Sue Henry says a number of the homes being moved are sitting at removal sites in Whenuapai and Whangarei.

She says they're not being advertised as the cold, damp and mouldy buildings that the Housing Minister has described them as.

A couple of the houses, which are selling for around $60,000, are already sold.
