The company that had its electronic ticketing system contract cancelled by Auckland Transport is seeking costs of $10 to $20 million.
Snapper lost the contract for buses last month.
The company says it was wrongly blamed for delays in the introduction of Aucklandâ s Integrated Fares System.
Chief executive Miki Szikszai says Snapper wants to reclaim reasonable costs spent while performing the contract.
"We're asking for advice from our legal advisors on how best to proceed with that at the moment and court action is one of the options."
Miki Szikszai says the company is confident of its position because it delivered on every milestone.
