Police seeking info on North Shore pursuit

By: Joe Gilfillan | Latest Auckland News | Saturday May 5 2012 14:47

Police are looking for a utility vehicle that rammed into a police car three times during a high speed pursuit early this morning.

They were called to a Glenfield address on Auckland's North Shore to investigate a theft in progress.

The suspect fled in the ute and was chased by police all the way to Lincoln Road in Henderson, where the driver evaded road spikes by swerving into oncoming traffic but hit another motorist.

No one was injured, but the chase was abandoned at that point.

Police would like to hear form anyone who may have seen the white, four door double cab ute, similar to a Toyota Hi Lux.

The vehicle has sign writing on the doors and an orange flashing light on the roof.
