Police name man found dead in Mt Wellington

Police have identified the man found dead in the Auckland suburb of Mt Wellington.

He's Tamati Tupe of Mangere.

The 23-year-old was found on Hillside Road on Sunday night.

A post mortem examination has now been completed but police won't be revealing the nature and extent of his injuries.

A 17-year-old appeared in court yesterday charged with assault in relation to the incident.

Detective Inspector Dave Lynch says they believe at least three other people were involved in the incident.
