Police are seeking help in locating a man who was involved in an aggravated robbery in Auckland yesterday morning.

The offender entered a store on Lincoln Road in Henderson around 9:30am carrying a black pistol and demanding cash from a lone female worker.

He tied the woman's hands behind her back before fleeing the scene with an undisclosed amount of cash.

Police describe the man as Maori or Polynesian, around 178cm tall and of medium build.

He was wearing an orange reflective raincoat, yellow reflective pants and a black beanie.
