Body found at AUT's North Shore campus

The body of a woman has been found on the AUT campus on Akoranga Drive in Northcote, on Auckland's North Shore.

Police say they were informed of the discovery about 1.20pm.

They've carried out a thorough examination of the area in which the body was found.

It's that of a middle-aged woman.

Police are treating the death as unexplained and are referring the matter to the coroner.

The woman has yet to be formally identified.
