Warning for rustlers and poachers

By: Nina Burton | Latest Rural News | Friday November 23 2012 14:44

Rustlers and poachers in rural areas are being warned, they will be caught.

It comes after two poachers were busted trying to take sheep in the Bay Of Plenty.

Federated Farmers Meat & Fibre chairperson Rick Powdrell says farmers need to keep an eye out for suspicious activity, and make security a priority.

He says there are many ways to do this, including locking gates, using surveillance cameras, and recording vehicle descriptions and license plate numbers.
