Wairoa's AFFCO meatworkers will today look at ratifying an agreement that's ended a 12-week industrial dispute.
The New Zealand Meat Workers Union and AFFCO reached an agreement on a new collective employment contract last week, but it's yet to ratified by union members in Wairoa.
Wairoa meatworker John Hubbard says while ratification is important for workers at individual plants, it matters how others vote at the seven other AFFCO plants across the North Island.
"At the end of the day it will be ratified across all the plants. So it's still a democracy as such if the majority vote that way, that's the way we thought."
