Deer Industry CEO steps down

Deer Industry New Zealand boss Mark O'Connor is stepping down after eight years as chief executive.

He'll be leaving to manage a family business after the deer industry conference in Wellington in May.

Mr O'Connor has been with Deer Industry New Zealand since 2000 and has been chief executive since 2005.

He presided over an industry which produces more than $260 million in revenue a year.
