The Conservative party is determined to make a difference in New Zealand politics.
The one-year-old party has hosted it's first ever annual conference.
Leader Colin Craig says he's confident they'll make their way into parliament in the next election.
He says he's determined to bring accountability to Government.
"And there are going to be people who won't like that. But that's the way it is. We are a fiscally conservative party, and we are going to start counting the dollars, and we are going to start expecting results for money spent."
Colin Craig says policies include having less MPs, changing anti-smacking legislation and getting tough on law and order.
