Peters calls 'The GC' National youth policy

| Latest Political News | Monday May 7 2012 11:59

'The GC' has been described as National's youth policy by New Zealand First leader Winston Peters.

He spoke to a first year politics class at Victoria University this morning, hitting out at everyone from the media to the Government to other opposition parties.

Mr Peters says the drinking and partying lifestyle afforded by high incomes and first world living standards, as shown in the TV show, are in stark contrast to life in New Zealand and it's no wonder young people are heading overseas in droves.

He told the students when times get tough they are better off becoming nurses or tradespeople than studying politics.
