Labour's view on economy a joke - PM

By: Katie Bradford-Crozier | Latest Political News | Thursday July 12 2012 8:50

The Prime Minister's calling Labour's view on the economy a joke.

Labour's finance spokesman David Parker says flat business confidence, more job losses in the export sector and rising house prices are all signs the economy desperately needs modernising.

John Key says Labour talks big when in opposition - but did nothing when in government.

"The Labour party are a joke, in 2004 New Zealand went into recession when it came to exports, they did virtually nothing when it came to property taxes in this country, and talked tough when they got into opposition."
