Workload rising at Ombudsman office

By: Felix Marwick | Latest Political News | Thursday September 27 2012 15:20

The Office of the Ombudsmen says it's under pressure and under-resourced.

It's just released annual report reveals its workload went up by over 20 percent last financial year.

The report says the organisation is significantly under resourced and it's struggling to meet timeliness targets.

It says the Ombudsmen currently have around 300 complaints on hand that they don't have the resources to progress.

The report says the work pressure has led to declining satisfaction with its service
