Govt playing down Labour's Super Fund decision

By: Felix Marwick | Latest Political News | Friday May 4 2012 18:23

The Government's making light of Labour's Superfund U-turn.

Labour leader David Shearer has today ditched his party's policy of immediately resuming contributions to the Cullen fund.

Instead he says they'll happen when they can be afforded.

The Prime Minister says it's taken Labour three years to work out what the rest of the country knew some time ago.

John Key says it makes no sense to borrow from overseas to invest in a savings account.

He says we're hearing a lot from Labour on what they won't do but not a lot on what they will do.
