No change of heart over forestry safety

Related

There's to be no change of heart from the Government over a inquiry into forestry industry safety practices.

Unions are calling for an inquiry to be carried out following a spate of fatal accidents in the sector.

But Minister of Labour Simon Bridges says an inquiry won't give those who want it, what they're after.

He says the problems are known, as are the solutions.

Mr Bridges believes a new code of practice, currently under consideration, will solve the issues.
