The Government's being challenged to release the advice it got over future representation for the Canterbury regional council.
MP's have passed the first reading of a Bill that enables the commissioners, who've run Environment Canterbury since 2010, to continue in their positions until 2016
Labour MP Annette King is irate the Government's refusing to release the advice it received about extending the commissioners' role.
"The Minister has refused to release the report. Why, Minister? What has the Minister got to hide? What has the government got to hide?"
