PM challenges Shearer over alleged GCSB video

| Latest Political News | Monday October 15 2012 8:15

John Key is laying down the gauntlet for David Shearer.

The Labour Party leader alleges he cracked a joke about Megaupload founder Kim Dotcom at spy agency GCSB.

The Prime Minister says David Shearer is also accusing GCSB of destroying a tape of the incident.

"David Shearer's gone out there, made some pretty serious allegations about GCSB. I've waived all my rights. If he's got a clandestine tape, I say play it, or apologise to the GCSB."

Mr Key says no video was ever taken and it's not like you can delete things at a spy agency.
