McCully welcomed into London

| Latest Political News | Tuesday August 7 2012 5:59

The British Foreign Secretary has welcomed our Minister of Foreign Affairs into London.

William Hague and Murray McCully have met to discuss a number of concerns they have, particularly around some of the Middle Eastern countries.

Mr Hague says the UK and New Zealand enjoy a warm and strong relationship built on shared values, as well as historical and cultural ties.

He says they had a specific focus on the alarming situations in Syria and Iran, as well as some of the more positive developments in Fiji.

Mr Hague says they also discussed opportunities for British companies in New Zealand.
