Vulnerable Children paper to be made public October

The full White Paper on Vulnerable Children will be made public on October 12.

But bits of the Government document will be drip fed prior to that, with the executive summary and a summary of submissions released on August 14.

The paper has been developed from the Green Paper, which saw nearly 10,000 public submissions received.

Social development minister Paula Bennett says the paper addresses responsibility for children, information sharing, targeting services, monitoring, services and collaboration.
