Trade, defence,and holiday visas have been discussed at a meeting between the Prime Minister and Philippines President Benigno Aquino.
John Key's held bilateral talks with his counterpart in the Beehive this afternoon.
He says three agreements have been signed following the talks.
One's a holiday visa agreement that will allow 100 people from each country visit the other each year.
"The arrangement of geothermal cooperation area where New Zealand sees itself as having significant prowess and memorandum of arrangement of defence cooperation."
Meanwhile a renewed Pacific focus from the United States is being endorsed by the Philippines.
President Aquino says he supports the strategic shift from the United States.
"It promotes a more balanced regime within the region, which hopefully will provide greater stability for all parties concerned."
