PM unconcerned with 'Hobbit' documents going public

By: Katie Bradford-Crozier | Latest Political News | Saturday February 9 2013 6:58

The Prime Minister says heâ s â relaxed⠝ about secret documents relating to the Hobbit becoming public.

The Government has until now claimed commercial sensitivity for refusing to release documents covering the deal struck between National and Warner Bros to ensure The Hobbit was filmed here.

The Ombudsman has now ruled the emails and other documents should be made public.

John Key says itâ s never been himself, nor his Ministers fighting publication.

"There are other parties involved and there are commercial negotiations involved. The concerns about releasing any paperwork...they do come from other parties than the Government."
