Bennett to speak at Washington DC conference

The Social Development Minister will be a keynote speaker on home visiting at a conference in Washington DC this week.

Paula Bennett will be speaking about the New Zealand experience with programmes like Family Start â “ our most intensive and expensive home visiting scheme.

It helps at-risk children and families with the aim being the protection, detection, and prevention of child abuse.

Ms Bennett will also meet with a range of social service providers in Philadelphia and Washington DC.
