Prosser complaint going to Human Rights Commission

By: Annabel Reid | Latest Political News | Thursday February 14 2013 5:04

A complaint about Richard Prosser is being taken to the Human Rights Commission.

The New Zealand First MP has apologised for his anti-Muslim outburst in his magazine column.

Federation of Islamic Associations of New Zealand president Dr Anwar Ghani, says they're disgusted by the article.

"And outraged that a person who is Member of Parliament can say such a baseless and ignorant thing."

Mr Ghani hopes the complaint will see Mr Prosser step down from Parliament.
