The Deputy Prime Minister of Vietnam, Nguyen Xuan Phuc, is about to visit New Zealand for bilateral and business meetings.

He and a delegation arrives on Saturday and will be here for a few days, meeting figures including the Governor-General and politicians.

Acting Prime Minister Bill English says it's a valuable opportunity to discuss two-way trade, education and other opportunities for further cooperation between the two countries.
