Action demanded over latest ACC botch

| Latest Political News | Thursday May 17 2012 12:06

Action is being demanded over the latest privacy botch made by ACC.

The corporation's acknowledged confidential information on around 100 clients was accidentally sent to the wrong people last week.

Green MP Kevin Hague says this further incident underlines the the fact the breach last year to Bronwyn Pullar wasn't an isolated matter, but rather evidence of a systemic problem.

He blames it on Government reforms which he thinks have created a sick culture at ACC.

"I think that Judith Collins now owes it to the public to hold someone accountable for that sick culture."

Mr Hague says it's time the ACC Board was held to account.

"The ACC board has inadequately governed the organisation. The board set up a culture that was focused on cost minimisation objectives rather than on the objectives of public service to accident victims."
