ACT Party conducting review over poor election

| Latest Political News | Sunday October 14 2012 10:36

The ACT Party is carrying out a review to find out why it performed so badly at the last election.

John Banks only sneaked into Parliament after winning the Epsom seat, despite high profile support from Prime Minister John Key.

The New Zealand Herald reports the party is now emailing past and current members, asking for their feedback.

In it, election campaigner Brian Nicolle says he's conducting the review after a shocking result, and the trouble which has afflicted the party over the past few years.

Party president Chris Simmons says it's part of a programme to continually listen to party members and the public.
