Investigations will continue this morning into a suspected hit and run death in New Plymouth. The body of local woman Anne McCullough was found in the back seat of a car, near a place known as Meeting of the Waters on Saturday. Police say the 45-year-old had been out running near Frankley Road when she was hit. Detectives are appealing for sightings of a 1987 purple Holden Commodore sedan, which has mag wheels. They particularly want to hear from anyone who saw the car at the top end of Frankley Road, or in the vicinity of Carrington, Baker, Mangorei and Junction roads. Sightings are also sought of the vehicle at the Meeting of the Waters. A 27-year-old man has been charged with manslaughter over the incident. Photo: NZ Herald |
