Incident report finds failings within Royal NZ Air Force

| New Zealand News | Wednesday October 24 2012 16:18

An interim report from an investigation into dangerous goods being carried on a passenger plane has found significant failings within the Royal New Zealand Air Force.

The Civil Aviation Authority says the Air Force inadequately prepared and wrongly categorised dangerous goods on an Air New Zealand passenger flight from Auckland to Vancouver in August 2009.

The report found a number of failings including administrative and communication errors, which led to the items being illegally carried on a passenger aircraft.
