It's nine months after the Rugby World Cup, and there's been a baby boom. Waitakere Hospital's maternity unit has been watching the numbers, and last weekend there were double the usual number of births. Almost 40 babies were born over a three day spell. Births were also up at Middlemore Hospital. New mother Libby Jackson says the World Cup celebrations were probably the reason behind the increased numbers. She says a lot of her friends are also due soon, and they counted back and put it down to the Rugby World Cup. Photo: Getty Images |
