New Zealander arrested in Philippines

By: Natasha Burling | New Zealand News | Friday October 5 2012 14:26

A New Zealander has been arrested for marijuana possession in the Philippines.

Business Mirror reports the 27-year-old was arrested at Ninoy Aquino International Airport after he was caught with dried marijuana leaves.

The man has been identified as Salah Raad Abdulrazzak, who lives in Perth.

Three marijuana sticks were also found in his possession.

He had been heading to Caticlan, Aklan when he was arrested during frisking at an x-ray examination area.

The Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency says he hid the drugs inside a cigarette packet and put it inside the pocket of his shorts.
