New TVNZ chairman appointed

The new chair of Television New Zealand has been named.

Broadcasting Minister Craig Foss has appointed Wayne Walden to the role for a three year term, effective at the beginning of this month.

He replaces Sir John Anderson.

Mr Walden has been a TVNZ board member since 2011 and previously served four years as the Chair of Maori Television.
