Air NZ's net profit down 12 percent

By: Newstalk ZB staff | New Zealand News | Thursday August 30 2012 8:50

Air New Zealand is still in the black - but its after tax net profit is down 12 percent for the year, to $71 million.

Chairman John Palmer says Air New Zealand is now well positioned to continue the growth trajectory that it was pursuing until 2008, when the world was gripped by financial crisis.

He says it's come through some tough times and the worst impacts of natural disasters like the Christchurch earthquake and tsunami in Japan are behind it.
