Agreement not reached over Dotcom raid

By: Newstalk ZB staff | New Zealand News | Wednesday July 4 2012 11:15

Kim Dotcom's lawyers and the Crown have failed to reach agreement on what should happen with property seized in the raid on the internet mogul's Auckland mansion.

Both parties have appeared in the High Court in Auckland today after a judge ruled the warrants used by police to carry out the raid were invalid.

It means there'll now have to be another hearing on the issue so both sides can put submissions to a judge.

Meanwhile Dotcom's told website TorrentFreak that he knows, from a credible source, that US Vice-President Joe Biden ordered Megaupload to be shutdown.

He claims the Vice-President is friends with the boss of the Motion Picture Association.
