Automotive industry asked to submit on WOF document

By: Newstalk ZB staff | New Zealand News | Wednesday September 19 2012 18:12

Automotive businesses worried they may suffer as a result of proposed warrant of fitness rules are being told by the Government to take part in the consultation process.

A discussion document is out for public consultation that suggests decreasing the number of times cars get inspected.

Associate Transport Minister Simon Bridges says it's about improving the system.

"It's incumbent on the mechanics and the VTNZ's of this world to come forward and tell us what they think, tell us what the implications are and suggest to us other options if that's what they want to do."
