Mining resumes at Spring Creek

Spring Creek Mine on the West Coast is allowed to operate again.

The Department of Labour has lifted the prohibition notice placed on the mine on Monday.

Acting Chief Inspector of Mines Gavin Taylor says Solid Energy has provided the information required and he's confident the company has appropriately addressed the immediate concerns.

He says within the next month a team from the High Hazards Unit will be auditing Spring Creek's safety systems.

Mr Taylor says they'll be checking that corrective actions proposed have been implemented effectively.
