The New Zealand Federation of Islamic Associations is laying a formal complaint with the Human Rights Commission over Richard Prosser's comments. The New Zealand First MP apologised today for offending many peaceful law-abiding Muslims with his article in Investigate magazine. Association President Anwar Ghani hopes the complaint will see Mr Prosser step down from his position. He says a person of his intellect doesn't deserve to be in Parliament. The Federation of Islamic Associations will also write a formal letter of complaint to New Zealand First leader Winston Peters asking for further action. Photo: NZ Herald |
