Finlayson named Politician of the Year

By: James Williams | New Zealand News | Monday December 3 2012 11:40

Chris Finlayson has been named Politician of the Year.

He's topped the list compiled by politics publication Trans Tasman.

Its editors say he's a National Party minister who has given away a national park to Maori and no-one seems to mind much.

The Attorney-General, Minister for Treaty of Waitangi Negotiations and Minister for Arts, Culture and Heritage was also seen as a safe pair of hands.

MP's who rated poorly included Hekia Parata, Kate Wilkinson and John Banks.

As for PM John Key he also slipped in the rankings.
