Futher help needed over GM tree vandalism

By: Lesley Deverall | New Zealand News | Wednesday April 18 2012 15:55

They've had a number of phone calls, but Rotorua police say they need further help identifying those who broke into and destroyed GM trees at Scion Crown Research.

The attack happened late in Easter, sometime between Monday April 9 and the morning of Tuesday April 10.

Police want to hear from the people who were using a white ute with a canopy which was parked on a track near the Department of Conversation building adjacent to the research property.

Detective Senior Sergeant Zane Smith hopes those people may have information to help the inquiry.
