The two men missing off the Northland coast have been found. The Whangaroa Coastguard vessel located the two men in their boat drifting nearly three kilometres offshore, north east of the Tekura Rocks. It appears the boat's outboard motor had broken down. Police say the 72-year-old father and his 23-year-old son are safe and well. A search for the men began when they failed to return late last night after leaving for a fishing trip from Mill Bay in Mangonui. The search involved a fixed wing aircraft and two Coastguard boats.
