Police staying quiet on involvement in Dotcom case

By: Annabel Reid | New Zealand News | Tuesday September 25 2012 18:21

Police are staying quiet on their involvement in the surveillance of Kim Dotcom and his co-accused.

They're being blamed for telling the Government's spy agency that Kim Dotcom one of his co-accused were foreign nationals when they were in fact New Zealand residents.

The GCSB has to get a warrant unless it's investigating foreign organisations and people.

In a statement, police say they're awaiting the report from the inquiry ordered by the Prime Minister and will not be making any further comment until then.
