Consumer confidence looks to be improving

By: Lesley Deverall | New Zealand News | Wednesday April 18 2012 17:43

Consumer confidence looks to be improving, according to the latest ANZ Ray Morgan poll.

It says households still feel worse off, but less so than in the previous month, and perceive it as a good time to buy a major household item.

The pollsters add a cautionary note though.

They say consumer sentiment can be volatile and want to see continued improvements before they say there's a clear upward trend.
