One Canterbury resident who failed to get his home changed from red to green says they won't be going anywhere. CERA has announced the rezoning of over 100 homes. It comes after 1300 people appealed their zoning. CERA chief executive Roger Sutton says 101 properties will change from green to red - with just three going red to green. Kaiapoi resident Brent Cairns was one of those whose zoning didn't change. He says they will refuse any offer from the government to buy their land. "The decisions made by a minister cannot be challenged. Subsequently we are just going to wait. At the end of the day the offer is truly voluntary so susequently we choose voluntarily not to accept the any of of the government offers. We are going to stay." |
