Hutt Valley police have arrested four men and impounded three vehicles after boy racers did burnouts at a friend's funeral earlier this month. The men, aged between 18 and 27, are facing charges of dangerous driving and sustained loss of traction. Hutt Valley Area Commander Inspector Mike Hill says the four men did burn outs as the funeral procession made its way to Akatarawa Cemetery, at a time when schools were finishing for the day. He hopes today's impoundments and arrests send a clear message to others The vehicles have been impounded for 28 days, after which time their cars will be released once storage fees have been paid.
