Auckland's rainbow community will be out in force tomorrow with the return of the Pride Parade after a 12 year hiatus. The parade was canned in 2001 after the former Auckland City Council pulled funding. The new Auckland Council has come on board. Auckland Pride coordinator Jonathan Smith says the festivities are expected to be greater than ever. "Look we've still got something to show. We've got the most amazing flavours and cultures to put on display and I think if you take things like Pasifika, Lantern festival, Volvo round-the-world races, Rugby World Cup - you put all those together into one parade, that's what we are."
