Problem affecting Xtra emails fixed

| New Zealand News | Wednesday May 16 2012 15:24

Telecom believes the problem that's affected thousands of Xtra emails has been fixed.

The internet service provider says there have been intermittent delays in email delivery since yesterday morning, due to a technical problem.

Telecom social media manager Richard Irvine said the problem has now been resolved.

He says it will take time to clear the massive backlog of emails.

It's the second email related problem with Xtra in the past 10 days.

Last week, two of three Xtra routers were blacklisted by spam-blocking system Sorbs, meaning thousands of customers experienced outgoing mail delays.
