Missing soldier search to resume at first light

| New Zealand News | Wednesday September 26 2012 20:20

The search for a soldier missing at Lake Moawhango will continue tomorrow.

The man in his late 20s fell from an inflatable boat while returning from a training exercise around 5:40pm yesterday.

Ruapehu Area Commander Inspector Steve Mastrovich says given it's now 24 hours since the soldier went missing, the hopes of finding him alive are fading.

He says the Navy, Defence Force and police will resume searching tomorrow from first light.
