Tame Iti's lawyer to file appeal

An appeal will be filed today over Tame Iti's conviction and sentence on firearms charges.

He and Te Rangikaiwhiria Kemara have begun two and a half year jail sentences.

Kemara's lawyer Jeremy Bioletti is also planning to file an appeal, which he says will happen sooner rather than later.
