By: Grayson Ottaway | New Zealand News | Thursday October 18 2012 12:50

Police and Navy divers, using sonar gear, have been called in to help search Tauranga's inner harbour for a missing 23 year old man.

Sean Hogarth and three others, were fishing in Tauranga Harbour when their boat was swamped by heavy seas.

Three of the men made it to shore.

Two of them have since been charged with theft of the boat.

They will appear at Tauranga District Court tomorrow.

Police are also still trying to locate the third man, 22-year-old Liam Kane who made it to land but has disappeared.

Police say there is hope that Mr Hogarth made it to somewhere in the harbour.
